We installed a FineVu GX1000 2K+2K front & rear dashcam to this brand new Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV in York. Quad HD recording both front & rear, wifi app access, and the most energy efficient parking mode recording that we have seen to date in a dasham.
All wires are totally hidden and run alongside existing vehicle wiring looms, we aim for the best aesthetically pleasing look that almost looks like a factory install.
We like to fit dashcams so that the user doesn't know they are there yet they can be accessed instantly using the smartphone phone app if required.
FineVu dashcam
The Ioniq 6 has its own battery management system that automatically recharges the 12 volt auxiliary battery from the main lithium pack whilst parked. This allows you to set dashcam parking mode easily within the app (as a fail safe) and this results in the cameras being able to be powered and benefit from parking mode recording whilst the Ioniq 6 is parked up.
Parking mode is alerted to pedestrians that walk near the car with a glowing LED light that jumps into action and starts flashing when movement is detected.
