The rear camera on this Mitsubishi l200 was installed externally with added extra long wires, all secured alongside existing Mitsubishi wiring looms. One of the great features that we love about this dash cam kit is when wired in with the optional hardwire unit, you can take out the front camera to use in another vehicle. Simply unplug and then slide the front 4k dashcam out of its screen mount and then plug it in to your second car using the spare cig socket lead and dashcam suction mount.
We installed this dashcam so that it benefits from full parking mode recording protection using a hardwire kit.
Its built in G-sensor will record any impacts and also record motion whilst parked. The built in GPS can record speed and location if required and then playback of video will show you your journey history.
The Dashcam is supplied with a 32gb memory card that will give you a rolling recording loop of around 2.5hours at full 4k + 2k recording. You have full flexibility to change the resolution / FPS of both the front and rear video to make efficient longer use from your memory card if you wish. For reference that will give you around 34 hours of recording. 64gb will be around 4.2hrs and 128gb around 8.5hrs.

btw......We found that the original reversing camera module hidden away behind the rear light cluster was sat in a bag full of water. So we kindly dried it all out, cleaned the circuit board with isopropyl and got 2 out of the 3 remaining reversing sensors working too. 😊
